Safe Home Campaign

As part of Iskandar Malaysia’s commitment to providing a safe environment for its residents during the festive holidays, the Safe Home Campaign was initiated in 2006 as a community project. A total of 15,341 households registered in Johor over the last three years and the police ensured ‘zero crime’ in all registered households. The overall crime rate also fell drastically during the campaign period and this led to the inclusion of the school holidays as part of the campaign period.

The Objective Of The Campaign :

  • To assist police in their crime prevention efforts.
  • To assist police in identifying residential areas with a high number of vacant houses during long holidays so that police can intensify and beef-up patrol.
  • Help the community in getting to know their neighbours & to help take care of their vacant houses when they are away.
  • To create awareness on the different channels available to contact the police in case of emergencies (Telephone hotline, fax, SMS or through website).
