Places of Interests

Since Iskandar Malaysia is located in Johor, it is only fitting that visitors explore the state of Johor that is divided into eight districts: Johor Bahru, Batu Pahat, Kluang, Kota Tinggi, Mersing, Muar, Pontian and Segamat. The largest district is Johor Bahru, which is where the state capital and Iskandar Malaysia is located.

Theme Parks
Iskandar Malaysia has a few theme parks in development at the moment that will provide endless fun and exciting rides. The establishment of the LEGOLAND Malaysia theme park in Iskandar Malaysia by 2013 will help transform the region's home state of Johor into an international tourist hotspot. LEGOLAND Malaysia is the first of three international theme parks planned for the state, under the umbrella of key catalytic projects that will be driven by IIB in its tourism master plan for Iskandar Malaysia. Another upcoming development is a wet-and-dry theme park in Danga Bay. It will also include three hotels (including a six-star hotel), a marina, an international convention and exhibition centre and office towers.

National Parks
Johor, home to some of the world’s oldest rainforests, has 5 national parks, each with its own diverse characteristics. There are the botanical and wildlife paradise of Endau Rompin, the mangrove island of Kukup, the "mother of all dead ends" wetlands of Tanjung Piai (which is also the Southernmost tip of the Asian continent), the mysterious and legendary Gunung Ledang, and the heavenly islands off the coast of Mersing.
  Islands & Beaches
The islands off Johor are world renowned for their beauty, sparkling waters and white sandy beaches. They beckon the weary traveller to sit back, relax and indulge in rest, relaxation and recreational activities that include snorkelling, diving, wind surfing or even fishing.

History & Culture
As the southern gateway to Malaysia, Johor has its fair share of historical events and cultural diversity through the years. From museums to monuments or forts, Johor has numerous sites that offer a wealth of information for the intrepid explorer.
Golfing
Johor has over 30 golf courses spread throughout the state, making it a golfer’s paradise. Home to many award winning golf courses, Iskandar Malaysia has also hosted the Iskandar Open 2008 where world renowned professional golfers came together to pit their skills.
