Ninth Malaysia Plan (9MP) Projects

IRDA accelerates the implementation of infrastructure projects
In February 2008, the Authority was entrusted to implement some of the Ninth Malaysia Plan (9MP) projects within Iskandar Malaysia, namely, the roads, drainage and river cleaning projects. Residents, investors and the local business community in Iskandar Malaysia will enjoy a better quality of life and enhanced business opportunities once projects under the 9MP are completed. Under the 9MP, the Federal Government has allocated a total out of RM6.8 billion for Iskandar Malaysia, of which IRDA was allocated of RM2.0 billion that comprises of 18 projects in total. Proper governance is adhered to while implementing the 9MP projects. In compliance to IRDA’s authority limits, prudent government tendering processes and Ministry of Finance guidelines were complied with in implementing the projects.
