Two new attractions, including the southern region’s biggest trade exhibition centre, will open in Danga City Mall here in November.
Danga City Mall Sdn Bhd managing director Gary Lee Seaton said the column-free and fully air-conditioned centre with wireless Internet connection would be ideal for large exhibitions.
“We offer a full range of customised services to support major events,” he said, adding that the biggest selling point was its high visibility.
“There is constant traffic between the city centre and the Johor Customs, Immigration and Quarantine Checkpoint.
“The centre offers direct access to exhibitors and visitors due to its prime location in the city,” he said, adding that a covered walkway from the centre to the shopping mall provided convenience for shoppers.
Work on the RM5mil centre offering 3,000sq metres of exhibition space started five months ago.
According to Seaton, the booking enquiries so far were from event organisers and associations in Kuala Lumpur and Singapore.
“Besides consumer and trade fairs, the venue is also suitable for concerts,” he said.
Another anticipated event at Danga City Mall is the opening of an IT centre called Digital Valley.
This dedicated space on the 2nd floor features more than 25 shops, making it a prime one-stop IT centre in Johor Baru for electronic products and accessories.
There will be an IT fair on Nov 13 in conjunction with Digital Valley’s opening.
The seven-storey Danga City Mall, which opened for business in July last year, houses 500 shops spread over more than 46,000 sq m. For enquiries, call 07-221 5008.
